FREE (or 50¢) admission to Polish Fest

June 16, 2010

Polish Fest is coming up this weekend (June 18th-20th), and there are several ways to get in for free or very very cheap.  While admission is usually $12 for adults, come between noon and 5:00 p.m. on Friday June 18th, and it will cost you a measly 50¢ (come between 5:01 p.m. and midnight and it will be $5.00, which is still pretty good).  OR, show up after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday with three food items to donate to the Hunger Task Force, and your admission will be totally free!  ALSO, dads get in free between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Father’s Day when accompanied by their child (and children under 15 are always free when accompanied by an adult).  AND uniformed military personnel with an active military ID get in free all weekend.  So many ways to save!

When: June 18-20
Where: Summerfest Grounds, 200 North Harbor Drive

Welcome to Free (or at least cheap) Milwaukee!

June 4, 2010

Greetings, and welcome to Free Milwaukee!  These days, it seems like everyone is on a budget.  Sometimes, it seems like the only way to save money is to stay in, and while a game night at home can be a blast, there are also plenty of ways to go out on the town without breaking the bank.  I will use this site to share ideas of free (or cheap) ways to entertain yourself in Milwaukee.  In addition, I will probably also be providing some reviews of restaurants etc. that I have been to.  Feel free to reply with your own suggestions and experiences for how you like to enjoy Brew City on the cheap.  I hope you find this site useful!  See you around town!
